Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast
The exhibit explores a surrealist thread in selected works, whose themes and artistic strategies include fantastical imagery, symbolism, psychological tensions, subversion of archetypes and experimentation with materials. Through that same lens, the works are presented anew within the framework of a dream sequence, allowing for an immersive way of rethinking artworks and their meanings.
This freshly constructed scenography questions conventional interpretations and provides alternative ways of understanding reality. It becomes an imagined world of hybrids in co-existence鈥攖he physical and the mythical, the natural and the artificial, equally harmonious and disturbing. By resisting binaries and disrupting habitual ways of seeing, the show proposes a more open speculative space. We can wander within this multiverse as if in a dream, or a tropical mirage, and conjure our own plots.
Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast is a constructed scenography that questions the permanence of meaning. It is an imagined world of hybrids in co-existence鈥攖he physical and mythical, the natural and artificial, equally harmonious and disturbing. It resists static binaries and disrupts habitual ways of seeing. Part rational and part fictitious, it speculates a future shaped by human impact, a future that is neither wholly apocalyptic nor completely utopian. It ventures into a psychological space that is culturally and ideologically ambiguous, an unconventional understanding of reality. We can wander within this world as if in a dream, or a tropical mirage, and be it serious or playful, conjure our own plots.
