The Break Generation. Reconstruction
We kindly invite You to the opening of Kaunas' Artists' exhibition The Break Generation, curated by Elena Balsiukait臈 Brazd啪i奴nien臈.
Exhibition is dedicated to those Kaunas鈥� artists, who have started their creative path just after Lithuanian Independence was re-established in 1990. The most intensive creative growth of this generation took place in the turmoil of the reorganization of changing social and political systems. In 1997 art critic Egl臈 Komkait臈鈥揃altu拧nikien臈 named this group of artists鈥� 鈥淭he Break Generation鈥�. In this case 鈥� 鈥渂reak鈥� doesn鈥檛 mean deficiency or flaw 鈥� it nominates liminal state between modernistic and post modernistic art.
