The Human Figure in Art of the 20th Century
From the very beginning in the history of art, it is the fascination with the human figure, which has inspired artists to enormous achievements. And still today we encounter the diversity of nature's formal language everywhere and especially in our own appearance.
While browsing our inventory of paintings and sculptures, we were surprised to see how many artworks can be traced back to the artist's fascination with the human form.
This inspired us to think about building an exhibition around these works complemented by works from other sources and to publish an in-depth catalogue, so that we could make our insights into the diversity of artistic production on the subject available to a wider audience at home.
