Juneteenth commemorates the delayed arrival of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1865鈥攎ore than two years after it was signed鈥攎arking a defining moment in the ongoing pursuit of liberty and justice in the United States. The Truth of Freedom honors this national holiday by celebrating the enduring quest for equity through the lens of artistic expression. Now in its fourth year, the exhibition series has featured nearly 60 participating Indiana artists.

Inspired by the 60th anniversary of the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s and 鈥70s, The Truth of Freedom explores how cultural expression can envision bold new futures.
