Tosh Basco: Grief Series

Grief Series is Tosh Basco鈥檚 first solo exhibition in Switzerland. The show centers around a series of drawings and a sound piece that delve into the nonverbal and affective realms of grief. Deeply entangled with Basco鈥檚 performance practice and, much like memory or loss itself, the drawings relay movement beyond the moment that they occur. They live on in time and space as transcriptions of an experience. The body here, as it often is in Basco鈥檚 work, is both central and obliterated, acting as a set of unfixed denotations by which experience, feeling, meaning are made, composed, and received.
