After showcasing prize-winning art from the Netherlands in 2013, this year the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum is devoting a large exhibition to contemporary positions from France. We are presenting five previous winners of the Prix Marcel Duchamp:
Saâdane Afif (2009),
Mircea Cantor (2011),
Laurent Grasso (2008),
Mathieu Mercier (2003) and the four nominees for the most prestigious French award for young art:
Théo Mercier,
Julien Prévieux, Florian & Michael
Quistrebert and
Evariste Richer. As with the German National Gallery Prize for Young Art or the British Turner Prize, entry is not restricted to French citizens but is open to all artists up to the age of 40, who live in France and whose artistic work leads in all directions.
