Two’s A Crowd
Tiger Strikes Asteroid Philadelphia begins Spring by growing new friendships that we made through our 2025 Open Call. Each year the Open Call provides us with a vast library of brilliant creatives to curate future exhibitions and future TSAPhilly members. The Open Call also provides us with much needed funding to continue to run our physical space at The Crane Arts while also allowing us to provide enriching programming. This year, TSAPhilly is celebrating 16 amazing years being a part of the Philadelphia Arts Community! For this exhibition, our member artists did a little companion gardening and chose an artist whosework resonated with their own. Companion planting is the practice of growing one plant to help another as part of a community. We are beyond grateful for the deep roots we have cultivated in Philadelphia and Thank you all for your continued support.
We have grown to five independently run spaces that collaborate and strive to foster relationships between artists from all career stages, lifting up underrepresented work and voices, and offering new contexts for the work of mid-career and established artists. Since the founding of our Philadelphia space in 2009, we have shown over 2000 artists in our over 450 exhibitions and projects.
