Unseen Existence: Dialogues with the Environment in Contemporary Art

Hong Kong Arts Centre presents 2014 flagship exhibition titled 鈥淯nseen Existence: Dialogues with the Environment in Contemporary Art鈥�. Working with renowned Taiwanese curator Rudy Tseng, the show will be divided into subsidiary themes: 鈥淓nergy as Inspiration鈥� where artists directly incorporate modes, manifestations or apparati of energy into their compositions, 鈥淭races of Ruins鈥� where artists visually capture the degradation of our earth and the aftermath of its undue exploitation, 鈥淐aring for the Environment鈥� where artists employ various methods and media to express their care and concern for the sustainability or restoration of our land, and at last 鈥淣ew Findings鈥�, which will be a selection of artworks that harbour a more innovative connection to our ecological ruminations and might even inspire new ways of thinking about the planet in which we live.
