Organizers of the Armory Show have revealed the more than 235 galleries set to participate in the New York event’s 2024 iteration, slated to take place September 6–8 at the Javits Center, with a September 5 VIP preview day.

The 10th edition of the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair was a great success!

From September 20—26, VOLTA Art Fair will return to Basel, in-person at the city’s newly-renovated Elsässerstrasse 215.

There’s nothing as sweet as a comeback, but last year it was uncertain if Volta, an art fair that has historically featured smaller and emerging galleries, would ever recover from its sudden cancelation just days before opening for New York’s Armory Week.

The first edition of POSITIONS Munich Art Fair will take place from 17 - 20 October 2019 at Reithalle Munich.

Fifteen years is a landmark occasion for a contemporary art fair in this day and age. 

VOLTA opened its 15th Basel fair on Monday with the mature triumvirate of quality: the artworks on view, the guests in attendance, and the sales recorded.

Following the near debacle of the Volta show, rescued by Peter Hort, David Zwirner, the Scope Art Fair, and other generous gallerists in New York, the satellite shows, Plan B and Scope, exhibited better art and were happier and more exciting places than the Armory show.

Members of New York’s art scene are coming together to help galleries that were set to participate in the 2019 edition of Volta, but were displaced when the Armory Show commandeered Pier 90 for its own exhibitors.

VOLTA New York opened yesterday at Pier 90 on the Hudson River.
