From 10–14 September 2025, Berlin Art Week kicks off the new art season. Over 100 museums, collections, galleries, project spaces, and the art fair Positions will shape a diverse festival program—making the German capital a hotspot for contemporary art for five full days.

With the exhibition Caught in a Landslide, n.b.k. and the KINDL present recent works by international artists based in Berlin who received the Berlin Senate’s 2024 visual arts work stipend.

Alfredo Jaar (b. 1956 in Santiago de Chile, lives in New York) is an artist, architect, and filmmaker. For over 40 years, he has examined complex sociopolitical issues and the limits and ethics of representation.

Just in time to usher in this autumn, the 13th edition of Berlin Art Week will take place from September 11 to 15, uniting over 100 participants.

In his first solo exhibition in Berlin, Franz Wanner (b. 1975 in Bad Tölz) investigates the present-day repercussions of the widespread exploitation of forced labor under National Socialism.

Emma Talbot and Dana Schutz address societal, ecological meltdown, drawing attention to humanity’s absurdities while offering paths to eco-centric renewal.

Voices without borders at KINDL, Berlin explores the role of the witness via ephemeral and material entities.

Through animation, painting, drawing and sculpture, British artist Emma Talbot’s practice explores the inner landscapes of private thoughts. 

OMOS (2022) celebrates contemporary Black performance and pays tribute to Black performers at the Scottish court in the sixteenth century, and connections to Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The group exhibition Forming Communities at Kindl – Centre for Contemporary Art in Berlin shows examples of the connections between artists from China, across Asia, and other parts of the world who are internationally active and based in Berlin.

Mona Hatoum was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1952 and she lives in London since 1975.

The 11th edition of Berlin Art Week kicks off next week from the 14th to 18th of September.
