The British School, 16th Century comprised a group of artists active in this region in the period. Works identified as being by this group appear regularly at auction. Since 1999 the record price for this artist at auction is 1,136,271 USD for Portrait of King Edward VI, half-length, in an elaborately embroidered red doublet, a white shirt with slashed sleeves and a fur trimmed gown, with a black hat and wearing a jewelled collar, holding the hilt of an elaborately decorated rapier in his left hand, sold at Christie's London in 2004.
