Janet Nelson is an artist. Numerous key galleries and museums such as The Strathearn Gallery have featured Janet Nelson's work in the past.The maker's first piece to be offered at auction was "three mixed-media sculptural garments of painted cardboard, paper-m芒ch茅, and applied faux beadwork: a Plateau-style girl's dress, a pair of Plateau-style moccasins, and a Plains-style man's shirt with horse hair drops, each signed and dated verso (2002, 2004, and 2003, respectively); together with a Northern Plains beaded strip." at Bonhams Los Angeles in 2024.
