Johannes Craco was a Dutch Old Masters artist who was born in 1746. The maker's first piece to be offered at auction was "Self-portrait of the artist, seated small half length by a table, wearing a dark blue jacket with lace chemise and wig, drawing a still life; and Portrait of a lady, presumably his wife, seated small half length by a table, wearing a light blue silk dress" at Christie's Amsterdam in 1998. The artist died in 1807.
