, , Tibet. Distemper on cloth, with a silk brocade frame enhanced with three embroidered flower blooms, mounted as a hanging scroll. Depicting Padmasambhava in prince's robe, holding a damaru and a mirror in his hands and sitting atop a lotus pedestal. Below him two flying Pandits, one with a tiger, above him in the zenith Buddha, as well as a Yidam, and a Nyingma master.

Condition: Commensurate with age, with some old wear and soiling, minor abrasions and creasing, losses, some with associated minuscule touchups. The silk mounting with some tears and losses.

, , Tibet, c. 1900s. Distemper on cloth. Depicting the bodhisattva seated on a lotus throne, holding the lotus and a mala, and displaying the gesture of greeting with her four hands, surrounded by a divine entourage and bodhisattvas. All set in in his paradise, Mount Potalaka in the South Indian Sea. Framed by a fine brocade mounting and with protective silk cover.

The thangka depicts Avalokiteshvara as the personification of the mantra om mani padme hum ('hail to the jewel in the lotus'). This ubiquitous Tibetan mantra is thought to contain the essence of the bodhisattva, the lord of compassion.

Condition: With wear, minor creasing, and soiling, overall good condition.

Depicting Tsongkhapa seated at the center in dhyanasana on a lotus base backed by a mandorla, dressed in monastic robes, the right hand in bhumisparsa mudra and holding a bowl in the left hand, the face with a serene expression surmounted by a pointed cap. Surrounded by scenes showing narratives from the life of Tsongkhapa.

Condition: With some old wear and soiling, abrasions and creasing, losses, some with touchups and few restorations visible from the backside.
