André ARBUS (1903-1969) Important and spectacular wool RUG with geometric and interlacing motifs, circa 1950. Monogrammed AA in the weft. Spots and stains. 300 x 450 cm Our rug, with minor variations in detail and a new color scheme, reproduces the design of the Aubusson carpet commissioned by the Mobilier National for the Château de Rambouillet in 1945-1946, then placed in the King's bedroom at the Palais de l'Elysée in 1949.
