We are pleased to share with you Ann Oram's latest still life paintings. The words 'still life' doesn't do them justice. Oram spends hours setting the stage: gathering fabrics and objects; arranging colours and elements; understanding the vitality of the flowers; until the set becomes exciting enough for her to paint. And then a lifetime of paint handling come into play.
It is this joy in colour and paint that have made Oram a leading inheritor of the Scottish Colourist tradition.
