ArtReach: Confluence
During the 2024鈥25 school year, students in CAM鈥檚 ArtReach Partnership program at Sumner and Vashon High Schools are exploring media and concepts related to the theme of confluence in weekly art classes. Using their different studio practices, Resident Teaching Artists Dee Levang, Adrienne Outlaw, and Rodrick Whetstone have each interpreted this theme differently with students.
ArtReach: Confluence presents a selection of artwork showing how students have worked in a 鈥渇low鈥 state with various water-based media, experimented with the 鈥渃onfluence鈥 of multiple disciplines coming together, and learned about the ways to repurpose the post-consumer plastic pollution from the Mississippi and Missouri rivers.
