Duane Reed Gallery invites you to Content / Craftsmanship: an exhibition showcasing new and classic works from 20 artists working at the intersection of conceptual inspiration and technical excellence.
Owner Duane Reed has personally curated a body of artwork with the two cornerstones of content and craftsmanship in mind, filling the multi-room gallery space with collection highlights including moss-covered ceramic assemblages by Dutch artist Patrick Bergsma, glittering forests of acid-burnt fabric from Lesley Richmond, and propulsive charcoal drawings from recently departed Joseph Piccillo.
Collectively, the group represents works in hundreds of public and private collections worldwide, including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian, The Cooper-Hewitt Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, The Corning Museum of Glass, The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Arts and Design, and the St. Louis Art Museum.
