Crosscurrents in Modern Drawing
Moeller Fine Art New York is pleased to announce "Crosscurrents in Modern Drawing" from 8 January - 15 February, a special exhibition of works on paper created in America and Europe between 1910 and 1970. Highlights include rare watercolors by Vassily Kandinsky and Emil Nolde from private collections, as well as a group of drawings by Lyonel Feininger from the artist's German period which have never before been on the market. Also on view are post-war works by Robert Motherwell, Richard Lindner, David Hockney, Tom Wesselmann, Lucas Samaras, and Mark Tobey, among others. The exhibition aims to draw visual parallels between works created in different times and places, and to highlight their essential connections.
"Crosscurrents in Modern Drawing" is organized as part of Master Drawings New York, a collaborative effort among Upper East Side galleries to take place from 26 January - 2 February.
