Dal铆's Moustache and Other Colours
Dal铆's Moustache and Other Colours is a multidisciplinary project based on the direct collaboration between artist Felix Aftene and writer Lucian Dan Teodorovici. If, usually, the encounter between literature and visual arts starts from the text, the contribution of the visual artist developing through the illustration of literature, this project was shaped through the very opposite approach, literature 鈥渋llustrating鈥� painting. Felix Aftene鈥檚 16 works became a source of inspiration, a pretext for storytelling and, eventually, an integral part of a novel by writer Lucian Dan Teodorovici, Dal铆's Moustache and Other Colours (Polirom, 2020). They were later joined by video artist Andrei Cozlac, blockchain consultant Gabi Dimitriu and composer Paul Pinitilie, demonstrating Felix Aftene鈥檚 interest in the interference and hybridisation of artistic practices and media, in the fusion of art and technology, while maintaining the strategy of cultural quotation.
