David Hockney: Arrival of Spring
L.A. Louver is pleased to present David Hockney's iPad drawings printed on paper, in a series titled "The Arrival of Spring in Woldgate, East Yorkshire in 2011."
Capturing the subtle shifts in landscape that occurs between the bleakness of winter and the fecundity of spring, Hockney made these drawings between January and June 2011, and again in December 2011. From this series, 49 works are printed on single sheets of paper, 57 x 44 in. (145 x 112 cm), while 12 are printed in a larger format and mounted on four sheets of Dibond, 96 x 72 in. (244 x 183 cm).
The exhibition includes 16 medium and 4 large format prints. All works are framed to the artist's specifications.
