Fragments: The Art of Collage and Assemblage

Jul 29, 2015 - Sep 09, 2015

During the early part of the twentieth century, modern artists were using collage and assemblage as a means of getting from point to the next, in an effort to break free from academic constraints. Today, as humanity strives to navigate through the perils and uncertainty of the twenty-first century, collage and assemblage have become the most widely used stimuli for creative expression.

Fragments: the Art of Collage and Assemblage celebrates the artistic achievements of ninety-five inspiring artists. The exhibition represents diverse approaches, and responses, to the innovations of collage and assemblage.
