Framing Selves
Box 13 Artspace is pleased to present four exhibitions opening March 26, 2016, 7- 9PM. In the Downstairs Front BOX, Andrew Scott Ross presents two installations Dry Erase and Century Zoo that reflect his interest in the interpretation of history in At All Times. Alex Emmons, Arthur Fields, Anne Leighton Massoni, Libby Rowe and Stafford Smith attempt to highlight the diverse results of incorporating one鈥檚 self to the traces of self reflected through a variety of photographic approaches and output media from smartphones to black and white photography to performance in the exhibition Framing Selves in the Downstairs Back BOX. John Forse in the Upstairs BOX exhibits a series of painting focusing on gender and masculinity with images featuring militaria as well as unit and hardware notations in Bury Us Upside Down. In the Window BOX, Emily Link鈥榮 nomadic soft-sculpture figures transform the space into a cave dwelling in MOONMILK.
