This exhibition takes its title from a phrase used by the philosopher Simone Weil to describe strikes that followed the victory of the Popular Front in spring 1936 and that will lead to the achievement of such paid leave first.

Located on a strike, facing the ocean, the city of Saint-Jean-de-Monts has seen extensive development of its economic and tourist activities in 1920 and with the onset of paid leave in 1936. To meet the needs of the city dedicated to leisure and loitering, a set of equipment was designed. Casino games and have multiplied, public transport, trains, cars and bicycles and then the city has expanded, built new construction. It became a kind of ideal city! In this Huberville, imaginary city of Thomas Huber comes to echo the situation in Saint-Jean-de-Monts where Frac brought together a collection of works by artists who question through the game, the city and architecture the notions of modernity.
