Three years ago, the
Hyde Art Gallery hosted the first-ever GROSSMONT OPEN, showcasing an exceptional array of artworks produced by Grossmont College employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the gallery has once again invited all Grossmont College faculty, classified professionals, and administration to submit their artwork for exhibition. This significant showcase celebrates the hidden talents within our campus community and offers students a rare glimpse into the unique perspectives, experiences, and artistic endeavors of those who guide their academic journeys. By fostering a deeper connection between students and their mentors, the GROSSMONT OPEN not only holds importance for students enrolled in art courses but also inspires all students to explore their creative potential. It underscores the notion that artistic and intellectual pursuits are not mutually exclusive but are harmoniously intertwined, encouraging a culture of creativity and academic excellence across all disciplines.
