Intensif Station: 26 Artists鈥� Rooms in K21

The individually expressed connection with a particular room is one of the main topics in both modern and contemporary art. Thanks to their specific characteristics, the rooms of the art collection in the former St盲ndehaus (House of the Estates) are predestined to house installations, cohesive ensembles and location-specific interventions.
Parallel to the opening of the museum on Grabbeplatz, works by Christian Boltanski, Imi Knoebel, Gregor Schneider, Ilya Kabakov, Jeff Wall, Nam June Paik, and many others will be shown in succession, in other words, room by room. Furthermore, works by artists of Classic Modernism and also representatives of the younger generation will be on display.
At the end of the process, visitors will encounter not only well-known works from the collection but also many that have not been shown for a long time. In addition, they will find rooms which were especially created for this special presentation.
