Slewe Gallery is pleased to anounce the opening of the exhibition with new works on paper by Joris Geurts and Ronald Noorman. It opens Saturday April 15 and will run until May 20,
Joris Geurts, who is known for his lyric abstract paintings, drawings and prints, has focused more on work on paper in the last ten years. They are made with acrylic paint, diluted with plenty of water, applied with broad brushstrokes on various sizes of sheets of paper. They are transparant layered and traceable. Deep purple blues, grays and yellow green colors giving associations with the kosmos or landscape. In this exhibition he will show a new series of these works on paper.
