Longest Way Round

Mar 14, 2025 - Apr 19, 2025

Charles Moffett is pleased to announce the March 14 opening of its new gallery headquarters at 394 Broadway. The gallery will inaugurate the new space with a major exhibition featuring the work of 24 artists, including all 13 of the gallery鈥檚 represented artists, as well as a number of artists who have participated in Charles Moffett鈥檚 program since its founding in spring 2018.

Spanning nearly 4,000 sq. ft., the gallery鈥檚 new space occupies the entire second floor of a historic Tribeca building, originally constructed in 1864. Following a renovation by New York-based design firm Lang Architecture, Charles Moffett鈥檚 new headquarters will feature two individual galleries, offering 2,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space, as well as a private viewing room, art storage room, team offices, open seating areas, and a small library. Illuminated with museum-grade lighting by Cosine, the gallery will feature warm wood floors and over 13 ft.-tall ceilings throughout.

The inaugural exhibition will feature new and recent works by artists from around the world that have shaped the gallery and guided its growth and evolution through the course of its first seven years. Spanning painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, mixed-media, and textile works, the exhibition reflects the diverse practices nurtured by the gallery鈥檚 program.  Unifying all of these artists are the profound commitment, inventive vision, and singular approach they bring to their chosen mediums 鈥 whether that be oil paints, ceramics, recycled rubber tires, textiles, or egg tempera paints 鈥 and the result is an exhibition that celebrates and showcases a wide range of artistic practices enlivening today鈥檚 contemporary visual discourse.
