Toni Davey RWA curates this exhibition of works by West Somerset Community College alumni, made in response to Hokusai鈥檚 classic Ukiyo-e woodcut The Great Wave.
During her time as a teacher at the college, Davey studied this iconic image intensively with her students and created responses for The Boxing Day Tsunami Appeal (2004). In doing so, the image鈥檚 underlying poetry became even more poignant.
