Prudencio Irazabal presents his latest work at Galeria Helga de Alvear. In his new pieces continues his tireless research for the deepest substrates of painting, and that over the years, it has been returning him opposite meanings to the materiality of a glance that could well be described as 鈥減erpendicular to the painting surface鈥�. Thus, by so-called 鈥減ersistence techniques,鈥� the artist, based on repeated gestures of a similar nature in the same area of the canvas by applying translucent colors, revealing traces that only a long-tern working can generate鈥攖he process of creating some of the works that are now presented has come to extend to five years.
