Si芒n Davey: The Creative Body: Photographs 2014 鈥� 2024
In The Creative Body: Photographs 2014 鈥� 2024, Martin Parr Foundation brings together a collection of works from the last decade by photographer Si芒n Davey, in her first survey exhibition.
This show presents photography from Si芒n鈥檚 three major series, Looking For Alice (2013-2018), Martha (2015 鈥� 2016) and The Garden (2021 鈥� 2023), alongside lesser known portraits from Communion, made at festivals across the UK.
Coming to photography after a career in psychotherapy, Si芒n鈥檚 work subtly observes the daily rituals of family life, with an awareness of the human struggle for connection, whilst posing questions around the bond between artist and subject. Her photographic work over the past decade has consolidated her place as one of Britain鈥檚 foremost photographers working today.
