鈥淪ilent Call: A Retrospective Exhibition on Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Jia Youfu鈥檚 Achievements in Arts鈥� organized by China Artist Association, China Central Academy of Fine Arts and Arts Academy of China will open in National Art Museum Of China on June 9th 2009. The exhibition will show the hard experiences Mr. Jia has gone through and great achievements made during the course of his study, exploration and promotion of Chinese landscape painting. Jia Youfu emphasizes on putting philosophy into paintings, making great efforts to associate philosophy with landscape to enlarge developing space of it. His works have great influence worldwide with their unique characteristics, lofty landscape spirit and clear features of the age. It was pointed out by Xue Yongnian, a famous art critic, 鈥渟ince its birth, Chinese landscape painting has set out various kinds of landscape: landscape in mist and clouds of the twilight in Wei & Jin, landscape in aesthetics of Buddhism of Six Dynasties, landscape of Five Dynasties and early Song Dynasty, scenery landscape and garden landscape of Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasty, ink landscape of later Ming and early Qing Dynasty, revolutionary sacred place landscape and motherland new appearance landscape of new China, beautiful motherland memories of Li Keran and unprecedented observed landscape of Jia Youfu, the most outstanding achievement of his. In the past 50 years, Jia Youfu has held 3 individual art shows in National Art Museum of China, one every decade.
