LA feels like a city that is very much on the surface with its car culture and Hollywood obsession of surface/outward appearance, whereas, all other major cities throughout history have whole worlds operating underground. Subterranean Homesick Blues explores ideas of subterranean culture from subways to secret passageways to gopher holes to ancient tombs and to the path to hades; the underground is a portal to the depths of our psyches and our primal molecular rhythms.
