Aspect/Ratio is pleased to present Coning, a two-person exhibition from artists Whit Forrester and Roni Packer. Coning is defined as a solid whose surface is generated by a line passing through a fixed point and a fixed plane curve not containing the point, consisting of two equal sections joined at a vertex (Merrian-Webster). It is with this precision and purism that Forrester and Packer approach their work. Both artists celebrate their shared devotion to color, form, and material. Yellow and gold are equally celebrated for their vibrancy but here serve to ensconce the viewer.
