Working Knowledge. Shared Imaginings, New Futures
Knowledge is an exchange that happens everywhere, growing and evolving constantly with everyday experiences. Through stories, movement, food, music, and collaborations with The Bronx Museum community, Working Knowledge presents work by artists who value and examine this active process.
Acknowledging the strengths and limitations of institutional education, the featured artists and collectives create alternative, self-organized models of learning that emphasize inclusivity and participation.
Inspired by Social Sculpture鈥檚 key concept that sees creativity as a force for social change, the exhibition invites you to engage, explore, and contribute your knowledge and experiences through interactive elements.
Artist projects include an AI chatbot, an evolving collaborative dictionary, a dance-based game platform to write poetry, generative software for sharing dreams, and a plant system to explore foraging in The Bronx.
