Cranbrook Art Museum

Cranbrook Art Museum presents fine contemporary art exhibitions featuring the work of local, national and international artists. The Museum is the home of The Cranbrook Collection, which comprises significant works by Cranbrook alumni and artists-in-residence. The Museum presents an ambitious program of public lectures and educational programs designed to increase attendance and awareness of contemporary art. Built in 1942, the Art Museum represents Eliel Saarinen鈥檚 final effort on Cranbrook鈥檚 campus, and the plaza at the Museum entrance features a Carl Milles sculpture that has become synonymous with Cranbrook, the Orpheus Fountain. The Museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums.
