The Hirschsprung Collection

The Hirschsprung Collection is a public art institution in central Copenhagen. The museum houses tobaccomanufacturer and art collector Heinrich Hirschsprung and his wife Pauline's collection of Danish art. The museum opened its doors to the public in 1911. The museum is home to a hundred years’ worth of Danish art from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries – from the Danish Golden Age of art to the Skagen painters and the Symbolists.
