Mammals & More
JACKSON HOLE * This month the National Museum of Wildlife Art features an intriguing exhibition of paintings and sculptures that depict wildlife in all four seasons. A Change of Seasons: Wildlife in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter takes its cue from T.D. Kelsey's bronze sculpture A CHANGE OF SEASON, which greets visitors when they arrive at the museum. The piece portrays two bison shedding heavy coats as winter turns to spring. The exhibit, which runs through April 26, includes portrayals of everything from bears fattening up for hibernation to elk in velvet. For more information: 800.313.9553 or www.wildlifeart.org.

Meyer Gallery in Park City, UT, has opened a second location in Salt Lake City. The new gallery is located in the city's central business district and features works by emerging and established artists. Jeff Pugh, Seth Winegar, Chris Reilly, and Cary Henrie are among the artists represented. Owner Susan Meyer says she chooses to embrace the current economic downturn as a positive.
