Dora Longo Bahia was born 1961 S茫o Paulo, Brazil. Bahia, a multimedia artist, has worked with set design, illustration and performance art. In 1987, she earned a bachelor's degree in artistic education from the Funda莽茫o Armando 脕lvares Penteado. From 2000 to 2003, she developed her master's thesis on visual poetics at the Escola de Comunica莽茫o e Artes da Universidade de S茫o Paulo - ECA/USP [School of Communication and Arts of the University of S茫o Paulo]. Since the 1990s, her works concern subject matters such as violence, sex and death. Her work has appeared in exhibits in Brazil, the Netherlands, Argentina, and Mexico. Her most recent solo exhibition was in 2007 at Galeria Leme, S茫o Paulo, titled 7 Pecados Capitais + 92 Delitos veniais 1990-1999 . In 2008, Bahia exhibited in a group show at the 28陋 Bienal de S茫o Paulo, Pavilh茫o da Bienal, S茫o Paulo. Bahia currently lives and works in S茫o Paulo, Brazil.
