AMERICAN EXUBERANCE

30 Nov, 2011 - 27 Jul, 2012
Exhibition to include 64 artists from the Rubell Family Collection/Contemporary Arts Foundation, from
November 30, 2011 to July 27, 2012.
The Rubell Family Collection/Contemporary Arts Foundation is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition American Exuberance. It will occupy all 28 galleries at the 45,000 sq ft Miami museum and will be accompanied by a large-format catalog.
In the United States, different cultures and sensibilities constantly collide, often producing singular visions. The artists in this exhibition explore creativity on their own terms in a way that both reacts to, and engages in the American experience. Their work offers a reflection of America as the unparalleled and often challenging place it is, at once confounding and exuberant.
64 artists will be featured including Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Hannah Greeley, Keith Haring, Richard Jackson, Rashid Johnson, Jeff Koons, Mike Kelley, Nate Lowman, Paul McCarthy, John Miller, Ruby Neri, Cady Noland, Richard Prince, Charles Ray and Sterling Ruby. Many of the works have never previously been exhibited.
