Buttons On! marks the first-ever retrospective for creative artist, Beau McCall, proclaimed by American Craft magazine as 鈥淭he Button Man.鈥� Showcasing pieces from McCall鈥檚 nearly forty-year career alongside select archival material, Buttons On! demonstrates McCall鈥檚 creative practice of producing wearable and visual art by hand-sewing clothing buttons onto mostly upcycled fabrics, materials, and objects. Organized into several themes, the exhibition explores McCall鈥檚 mastery of the button and commentary on topics such as pop culture and social justice.
