Beyond Limits: The Landscape of British Sculpture 1950-2015

14 Sep, 2015 - 25 Oct, 2015

This year’s tenth anniversary edition of Beyond Limits, entitled The Landscape Of British Sculpture 1950-2015, will demonstrate the breadth and impact of half a century of British artistic achievement, woven through the historic grounds and gardens of Chatsworth, one of Europe’s greatest private houses and the ancestral seat of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.

Guest-curated by renowned art historian and commentator Tim Marlow, Artistic Director at the Royal Academy, this year’s show will include monumental works by modern masters and contemporary pioneers of British sculpture from Dame Barbara Hepworth and Lynn Chadwick to Sir Anthony Caro and Sarah Lucas.

Over the last nine years, Sotheby’s Beyond Limits has firmly established itself as one of the most prestigious platforms for the display and sale of modern and contemporary outdoor sculpture, and a key event in the art world calendar.
