Damien Hirst: New Religion
National Institution Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje hosts 鈥楧amien Hirst: New Religion鈥, an exhibition of silkscreen prints and sculptural editions in association with Paul Stolper Gallery and The British Council. This exhibition explores the complex relationships between medicine and faith, and art and religion; themes central to Hirst's work. The exhibition follows displays of 鈥楴ew Religion鈥 at Paul Stolper Gallery (2005), Rogaland Museum of Fine Arts, Oslo (2006), All Hallow鈥檚 Church, London (2007), The National Art Gallery of Bulgaria, Sofia (2012) and The Lightbox, Woking (2015).
鈥樷業 was thinking that there are four important things in life: religion, love, art and science鈥f them all, science seems to be the one right now. Like religion, it provides the glimmer of hope that maybe it will be all right in the end.鈥欌
