Exquisite Trust (Blindly Collective Collaborations)
STPI will be revealing a blockbuster exhibition consisting of its first collective collaboration with four luminary international artists Carsten H枚ller, Tobias Rehberger, Anri Sala and Rirkrit Tiravanija.
Over the past year, the artists jointly produced a body of work based on the children鈥檚 game 鈥淓xquisite Corpse鈥 鈥 a device the Surrealists adopted to engineer free association. Confronting elements of surprise and the unconscious, the artists and STPI Creative Workshop team captured the essence of collaboration whilst putting print and papermaking techniques to the test to produce highly whimsical and unparalleled works. The show also features exclusive new solo works which develop different aspects of the "Exquisite Corpse". These include screen prints of Singapore buildings by H枚ller which feature his signature corkscrew slides; eye-catching typography-based screen prints by Rehberger; stunning composite palm line drawings from Sala; and organic watercolour monoprints by Tiravanija.
