Francis Boag: Con Brio
The Doorway Gallery is delighted to host an exhibition by Francis Boag, entitled, Con Brio, at 24 South Frederick Street. Irish television and radio presenter, Mairead Ronan will officially open Francis Boag’s solo show.
Francis Boag’s unique point of view is formed from colours, shapes and rhythmic marks that brings life to his images. The memories he extracts from his work includes objects such as champagne, flowers, ribbons and wrapped birthday presents. Hints of them can be observed throughout his works. The pleasure in Boag’s work is integral to its success. There is a joy to his painting that radiates from the canvas, and becomes an ensemble of happy memories for every individual who sees it.
