From 1924 to 1934, the
artist Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart lived in a studio at the Kestner Gesellschaft on K枚nigsstrasse and was responsible for the design of tickets, posters and exhibition catalogs. As one of the first German Constructivists, he thus helped shape the typography and printed materials of the Kestner Gesellschaft over an extended period. These years in Hanover were extraordinarily important to the young 鈥淰G,鈥 as his friends called him, since it was here that he met Kurt Schwitters, Hans Arp, K盲te Steinitz, and Theo van Doesburg.
