鈥�16鈥� is inspired by Artinformal Greenhills鈥� 16th anniversary. Seven multigenerational artists were asked one seemingly simply question鈥� What does the number 16 mean to you? An onset of self-reflexive queries followed on its heels. Over the course of one year, each artist delved into personal and public cultural memory, existentialist queries, divinity, mathematical and creative intuition, and artistic play.
They went on separate circuitous journeys yet joined together by the initial unpredictability of how their ideas would unfold. Meditations on their oeuvre served as their catalyst.
Streams of consciousness, free associations and systemic calculations resonate throughout the rooms and open spaces of Artinformal Greenhills, creative director, Tina Fernandez鈥檚 early childhood home.
