In The Making
With the opening of the group exhibition In the Making on Saturday 14th January, Glasmuseet Ebeltoft presents works by ten talented artists and recipients of the Finn Lynggaard grant.
The exhibition has been curated in collaboration with Eva Lynggaard (Finn Lynggaard鈥檚 daughter) and Tchai Munch (Finn Lynggaard鈥檚 widow) and can be seen until 16th April 2023.
The Finn Lynggaard Foundation was established in connection with Finn Lynggaard鈥檚 80th birthday on 11 January 2010 as a birthday present and a tribute to the Danish glass pioneer and initiator of Glasmuseet Ebeltoft. Its purpose was to award a grant to a performing glass artist every year at the same time as Finn Lynggaard鈥檚 birthday, for the purpose of further education, an artist residency or a study trip. For more than ten years, the foundation has thus supported a number of younger glass artists in their further development towards new artistic expressions. With the exhibition In the Making, the audience is given the opportunity to experience a selection of mainly recent works created by the recipients of the grant. There is a wide range of works and the exhibition is a good opportunity to immerse oneself and experience the infinite number of expressive forms of glass.
