Invitational Themed Show: Breakfast at Tiffany's
Each and every June, we have a wonderful tradition called the Invitational Themed Show. This year, the theme is 鈥淏reakfast at Tiffany's.鈥� The participating artists are listed below. The idea is to challenge the invited artists to get creative for the announced theme, and possibly even stretch the artist outside of their comfort zone.
Few retail establishments in the United States exert the kind of pull on the imagination that Tiffany & Co. does. Known for its elegance and style, the store has been the purveyor of fine jewelry in gold, silver, and precious stones for nearly 200 years. From its iconic little blue boxes to the unparalleled location of the flagship store at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan, Tiffany鈥檚 attracts not only crowds of shoppers but also those who, like the free-spirited Holly Golightly in Truman Capote鈥檚 famous 1958 novella, 鈥淏reakfast at Tiffany鈥檚,鈥� find the hushed elegance of the store a respite from life鈥檚 cares and worries.
