On both of my series I consistently use mixed media. I primarily use watercolor, ink, and colored pencils. In all the mediums I use watercolor is primarily the medium I use. I am able to build layers to create the darkest shades yet I鈥檓 able to keep the highlights clean. I tend to focus on an object and keeping a simple yet contrasting background with opposing colors. I like to mark make with ink in my artworks as seen in the sea creature painting, because it is another way for me to emphasize the form with shadows in the ink. In my artworks I like to express an emotion through serious topics and silly topics. I like to paint still lives but not realistic in different forms and colors. I also like to make collage fan art by painting with mixed media.
